Eucharistic Adoration is held monthly at
All are welcome to come and spend some time in prayer before the presence of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
Catholics believe that the bread and wine that is consecrated by the priest at mass truly becomes the Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity of Christ.
During the consecration of the Eucharist at mass, the priest speaks these words during the Eucharistic prayer: “While they were at supper, he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take this, all of you & eat of it, for this is my body which will be given up for you.” Holding this moment of the Mass in time, we have, over the centuries, come to see that it presents a great opportunity for spiritual intimacy with the Lord. Our adoration of the sacrament we call the Eucharist, or the Blessed Sacrament, calls us to spend time in the presence of the Lord as we watch & wait, allowing the power of Christ to transform us.
Those who present themselves for a period of adoration spend their time in spiritual reading, private prayer, or reflection of some virtue or quality in which they would like to grow. Some might read a Gospel passage and listen as Christ speaks to them through the sacred text. Others meditate on the mystery of the life of Christ through praying the rosary. Still others simply sit quietly, drawn to the love of Christ that is expressed for us in his sacrifice on the cross, demonstrated through his self-giving in the Eucharist.
Adoration is for everyone- all ages! God loves every soul that He created, and delights in you! In the silence of adoration, our hearts speak to the One Who created us, Who loves us beyond measure, and Who died and rose for us so that we could be with Him forever.
If you can commit to one hour of adoration at the beginning of each month, you can call a member of the Eucharistic Adoration Committee, please contact us. If you can't commit to a specific time, please come whenever you, but come!
