The Manager of Pastoral Planning and Operations will be assisting the Pastor and the Parish Staff with all aspects of Pastoral Planning and implementation in the parish, to realize the Parish Mission and Vision.
The two parts of this position in general terms are:
Work with the Parish Staff overseeing the various departments of the parish (Faith Formation, Youth and Young Adult Ministry, Pre-school, Outreach, etc.) as well as foster communications between them, so that each area is aligned with and able to accomplish the priorities set forth in the Pastoral Plan.
With the overall goal of growing the faith community, this position will play a central role in both evaluating current groups, ministries, programs and events within the parish as well as establish teams of volunteers to establish new ones.
Qualifications
This person should possess strong communications skills and qualities of good leadership and have 8 to 10 years of management experience with a focus on strategic planning and operational excellence. Prior experience with committee or task force work, experience in faith-based organizations, experience with leading groups of people of various sizes, including volunteers, is strongly preferred. Should be active in the practice of their Catholic faith and have a passion for positively influencing the St. John XXIII Parish Family.
