“Fr. Bob” grew up in a rural area outside of Darlington, PA, as a member of the now closed St. Rose of Lima Parish. Ordained a priest in 1992, and a pastor since 2001, Fr. Bob came to St. Benedict the Abbot in 2011. He compares being pastor of a very large and active parish to being a juggler — trying to keep multiple balls in the air at the same time. But most of all he simply tries to be a presence of Jesus in the community and lead others closer to Christ. Always in motion and full of energy, when he isn’t serving God’s people in the parish, one can find him riding his bike on the Montour Trail, running through neighborhood streets, or working with the ultimate “fruit of the vine” in the rectory basement as a wine maker.
