If you volunteer in any capacity at St. John XXIII Parish, you must meet the safe environment criteria outlined by the diocese. If you would like to start volunteering or need to complete or renew any of your clearances, please see below to get started. Any current clearances you may have through your job or profession may be able to be used so please check first before completing again. If you are unsure whether or not you are compliant, or need any help at all, please reach out to Jennifer Bunnell.
As an FYI, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearances need to be renewed every 5 years. The Protecting God's Children training class will need to be taken every 3 years, and as of now, the Mandated Reporter Training certificate does not expire.

For the Protecting God’s Children class, there is a Trauma Sensitive Alternative for persons with a history of sexual abuse. Watching the videos may cause a resurgence of memories and strong emotions that some find detrimental to their personal healing. With that in mind, you can request a written trauma sensitive version by reaching out to Jennifer Bunnell or calling or emailing: Laetitia Bridges, Director of Victim Assistance at 412-456-3093 ext. 3712 or [email protected] (When requesting this training, you will not be asked about your personal history.)
